Furnace decoking is a common procedure and done frequently throughout the lifetime of the furnace. Decoking is a process where air is routed in the process. So many precautions are foreseen for a safe decoking operation. In this training, the trainee learns all the preparation steps required for starting the decoking. The correct line up supported with a key interlock system, purging and draininig of process line and the proper operation of the change over MOVs is key in this training.

The changeover to decoking mode is a straightforward procedure but in reality, some obstacles make this procedure very critical. In this training, the trainee will learn the risk involved and how to go about certain conditions if they arise.
