The furnace requires a daily routine check in order to ensure that all furnaces are operated safely. In this training, the trainee will get to learn the recommended routine checks for furnaces such as:
- monitoring the coke formation via tube metal temperature measurements (measured with a pyrometer) and observing the coil inlet pressure, TLX outlet temperature
- Monitoring the firing, i.e. flame pattern of the burners
- Free movement of the pipes with high temperature (e.g. cracking coils, Cross Over line, high pressure steam line)
- Checking rotating equipment, i.e. ID Fan
Why take this course?
Maintaining a furnace in safe operation is a key to high throughput of the plant. With this training, the trainee will learn about what to check/verify in the furnace in order to reduce unavailability.
