Do I need to install any software before I can use the Linde Virtual Academy platform?

Yes, you need to install specific software before you can use Linde Virtual Academy. The required software depends on whether you are using a standalone VR headset or a PC-based VR setup.

For Standalone VR Headsets (On-Device):

  • Install the “LVA Training Hub” app on your headset.
    • Download it from the official Meta Quest or Pico app store, or use the installation package provided by your LVA administrator.
  • Once installed, log in with your LVA credentials to access and download your assigned training modules.

For PC-Based VR (PC VR):

  • Install the following software on your PC:
    • Linde Virtual Academy App: Provided by your LVA administrator or downloaded from the LVA platform.
    • SteamVR: Required for running VR content on most PCVR headsets.
    • Meta Quest Link or Virtual Desktop:
      • Meta Quest Link (for connecting your Meta Quest headset to the PC via cable or Air Link)
      • Virtual Desktop (for wireless streaming, recommended for best comfort)
    • Log in to the LVA platform to download and install your training modules.

Tip:
Always ensure you are using the latest versions of all required apps and software for best performance and compatibility.

If you are unsure which software you need or have trouble with installation, please check our LVA setup guide or contact your LVA administrator or IT support.
